Dreams and the Dreamtime

A Fundraising Talk by Peter Searight. Peter recently returned from Australia and will present a 'through the lens' perspective of ancient and modern Australian culture, with a glance at Britain's history. Come and share his land, sea and cityscapes, with a dusting of 'outback' humour, and explore the Summer Exhibition and Sculpture trail during the interval.

A Crafty Get-together!

Join artist Diana Burch for a relaxing evening of crafts. Take inspiration from our European Peasant Art Collection and create a 15cm square to be part of our community artwork on display in September. We will be using all kinds of materials in the best tradition of waste not want not! You could use sewing, applique, decoupage, wire, quilting or whatever sets your imagination going.

Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with a traditional picnic and mini fete in our beautiful gardens. There will be games, face painting, stalls and more. Bring your teddy for a photo with the Museum's famous mascot 'Arthur' the bear and enter our 'best dressed teddy' competition
