Town Crier’s Competition

Come and enjoy the Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! from a gaggle of Town Criers as they deliver their proclamations and compete for some prestigious prizes at this very entertaining biennial competition that takes place in the beautiful grounds of the Museum on Charter Fair Day

Join artist Diana Burch to make a very special woven bookmark using all sorts of materials. Might not be conventional but will definitely be unique and almost certainly things of beauty

DARK ROSALEEN
A Talk by Michael Nicholson, OBE

Join Museum Patron Michael Nicholson, distinguished former ITN correspondant, who will give a fascinating talk on his new novel 'Dark Rosalee'. A story of murder and betrayal, of a starving people held captive, of a failed rebellion, and of the love that grew out of it. This is Ireland in the famine years.

Books will be available for purchase and signing

Organised by two of the Museum’s Trustees all proceeds will go towards the Museum in a Million Campaign. Will include a wide range of perennials, annuals, bedding plants plus garden ornaments and lots, lots more.

Town Walk

Sunday 5th June

Guided Town Walk
Weyhill, Shottermill and Sicklemill

Discover more about Weyhill, Shottermill and the Sicklemill areas including some of the buildings, the people who lived and worked here and the industries where they were employed with this guided walk by local historian Tim Winter.  No need to book, just turn up! Please note the walk includes a steep footbridge.
