THE GARGANO- ITS AMAZING FAUNA AND FLORA
This region, a little known corner in south-east Italy, bordering the Adriaticm, is dominated by a montain range rising to over 3,000 feet. at its feet in the coastal plain are two salt lakes. Gargano is known as the 'the Orchid Capital of Europe' and it is rich in wild flowers, birds, butterflies and reptiles.

RETURN OF THE RED KITE
Ketih is County Bird Recorder for Hampshire and has been studying Red Kites for seven years. His work has involved wing-tagging the chicks and also using radio transmitters to track their movements. With their return as a breeder to Surrey as recently as 2012, we will hear from keith's experience across the border.
