Wednesday 31st August

7.00 pm - 9.30 pm

A Crafty Get-together!

Join artist Diana Burch for a relaxing evening of crafts. Take inspiration from our European Peasant Art Collection and create a 15cm square to be part of our community artwork on display in September. We will be using all kinds of materials in the best tradition of waste not want not! You could use sewing, applique, decoupage, wire, quilting or whatever sets your imagination going.

£12 including a glass of wine

Horrific Halloween

In collaboration with the Haslemere Visitor Centre and our Family Arts Festival Activities. Come along and make Halloween related crafts. Bring a pumpkin or squash to carve and take part in our Halloween procession through Haslemere, which starts at the Museum at 4.30pm and finishes in the town's central car park.

Back from the Brink - the Bermuda Petrel and Its Extraordinary Return from Near Extinction

Speaker: Andrew Cleave
Andrew will tell us about one of the World's rarest birds and its fasinating habitat on the coastline of Bermuda, and the background to the work carried out to save it, as well as the colourful wildlife of Bermuda, including more birds, butterflies, reptiles, marine life and exotic flora.
