Nature and the Environment Partnership Programme

Haslemere Museum´s Grounds, inspired by man, enjoyed by nature

The Nature and the Environment Partnership Programme is part of the Places for People Audience Development project at Haslemere Educational Museum. This has been made possible through a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and is intended to make the museum accessible to a wider audience through focus on three strands:

• Pre-school and Carers Development Programme
• Nature & the Environment Partnership Programme
• Local History Exhibition Development Programme

This new programme offers something for everyone through a new programme of events, lectures, workshops, projects and resources.

Aims:

• Create a programme of events that addresses the important issues of nature and the environment.
• Develop partnerships with relevant organisations to make the programme as interesting and diverse as possible.
• Use the museum´s garden and grounds for outdoor activities to help connect with our natural heritage.

Programme:

• Lectures and workshops on interesting topics related to nature and the environment, in collaboration with local experts and organisations.
• Off-site walks at local sites of natural beauty and environmental interest.
• Activities for all ages in the museum´s beautiful garden.
• Special one-day topical events.
