Haslemere was granted a Charter to hold a weekly market by Elizabeth I in 1596 and still celebrates with a bi-annual Charter Fair held at the beginning of May.

Other events include the Haslemere Festival which runs every third year, Haunted Haslemere, a ghostly weekend for all the family and the Christmas Market held during the first week of December with over 150 stalls selling unique Christmas gifts.

And for all you food lovers, the increasingly popular Food Festival held during the first two weeks of September promotes local food and businesses and includes lots of new and exciting events every year offering an even greater variety of feasts!
