Description:
Piece 1 is an embroidered panel on white cotton, backed onto coarse linen ground. Motifs are large open flowers and small polyanthus. Scarlet background, twisted pink silk edge. Piece 2 is a realistic silk embroidered panel on bottle green silk satin ground. Large roses, leaves and bell-shaped flowers. Piece 3 is red, gold, green solid silk embroidery, with eyelets. Piece 4 is solid polychrome embroidery in silk. All four pieces are mounted in a glazed frame, which is 420 x 570 mm. Piece 1 is from Hungary; piece 2 from Croatia and pieces 3 and 4 from Greece.
