Description:
Cloth of linen or hemp, a hand woven coarse fibre, embroidered in wool (could be goat's hair). Colours burnt orange, maroon and black. Chain stitch cross shapes a bit like snowflakes. Centres of stylised flowers, Holbein stitch. Heavy and rough embroidered effect generally. Unhemmed.
